Quitman Library

Quitman Library Beautification was a combined project of Wood County Master Gardeners and the Quitman Garden Club.  It's focus was not only for beautification but also education.  All plants were labeled and a brochure identifying each was developed and available for use in the gardens around the library.  Each plant is native to the area and tolerant of drought and heat.  This is a good example of xeriscaping and can be applied to home gardens as well as areas that need "hardy" beautification.

Each season brings a new look as the gardeners and "Mother Nature" preform their magic. The gardeners are always happy to answer questions regarding the landscape as they are working among the plants.
