March 19th & 20th - The Tyler Council of Garden Clubs is presenting a flower show at the Women's Building at 911 South Broadway in Tyler. The show titled "Remembering Historic Tyler" is free and open to the public. The hours are 2 PM to 5 PM on Friday and 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday.
March 19th through April 4th – Tyler 51st annual Azalea Trails. The Azalea & Spring Flower Trail travels through eight miles of residential gardens and historic homes sites. The two trails have been routed to maintain an orderly traffic flow so visitors can see as many flowers as possible. From the courthouse on North Broadway, follow the specifically marked Azalea Trail signs southward to enjoy this outstanding celebration of Spring in East Texas.
April 10th - Friends of the Arboretum Spring Plant Sale in front of the Stinson House at the back of the Gov. Hogg Park - Quitman
April 17th - SFA plant sale in Nacogdoches Spring Garden Gala Day - 9 AM starting gate
April 24th - The Tyler Men's Garden Club's Spring Fling 2010 will be held in the Broadway Square Mall parking lot at Loop 323 and Old Bullard Road from 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM. This popular plant sale features many plants grown by members, including assorted "pass-along" plants.
May 1st - Plants and garden art will be sold by the Fannie Marchman Garden Club in Mineola. The sale will be from 8 AM to noon at the parking lot at the corner of Blair and North Pacific (Hwy 69) across from the Mineola Public Library.
June 2nd-5th - The Stephen F. Austin State University Pineywoods Native Plant Center will be hosting the 5th Lone Star Regional Native Plant Conference. The conference will be held on the SFA campus which is home to the Mast Arboretum, the Ruby Mize Azalea Garden, as well as the 40-acre Pineywoods Native Plant Center. There will be talks ranging from green roofs to landscape design and native azaleas. Go to http://arboretum.sfasu.edu for the registration and the conference agenda.
